It was only sold in the UK from the late 1970's to the early 1980's. It utilizes a plastic thumbscrew and plastic pressure plate to lock the beam into place. The beam is canted at a 45 degree angle which means it locks securely in the corner of the mortise. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy version of this tool is sold as a kit. All the parts are expertly machined. You'll need to do a very small amount of finish sanding and then apply your finish of choice. You'll also need to install the pre-sharpened pin (instructions included).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe wooden parts are made of kiln dried European beech. The plastic parts are 3d printed.
